Turner Morehall Reception 2020

Reception 2020

We are delighted that your child has been offered a place to join our school and look forward to welcoming you and your child to Morehall Primary in September 2020.

If you are yet to accept your child’s place, please do so by emailing [email protected] by 6th May, with your child’s name, Date of Birth, Pupil ID number and Parent’s name.

We will be posting admission packs to you in the next few days. Please note that the school building is currently closed due to Covid19 and you will not be able to gain access to the school site to hand deliver your forms.  Please use the email address: [email protected] or send your forms in the post.

In the meantime, we want to do all we can to support you and your families during this time and in the lead up to your child starting school with us.

Tapestry

Tapestry is a digital application we use in Reception to share your child’s learning with you and allow you to share all the great learning happening outside of school with your child’s teacher. We are going to be adding your child to Tapestry in the next few weeks and will email to you the details via the email address your gave on your child’s application. Please check your junk email boxes if you do not receive it.

We will be using this to post videos of Miss Piper, who will be your child’s teacher, so that the children can start to get to know her. If you would also like to share with us the things you are getting up to at home, you are more than welcome to.

Find out more about Tapestry on their website: https://tapestry.info/parents-carers.html

Transition arrangements

At this stage we are unable to confirm what transition for children into Reception will look like. Usually we would be planning home visits, Stay and Play sessions and parent meetings. We are hoping that we will still be able to run these activities in the summer term but are also looking at other options such as using online platforms for some of these sessions. We will confirm the arrangements with you as soon as we have clarity on when the school is likely to re-open. We will still be talking to pre-school and nursery settings, as we always do, to find out where your child is in their learning.
