Miss Long

Hello, my name is Miss Long and I am the Year 2 teacher here at Morehall Primary. It is difficult to pick a favourite subject as I enjoy teaching them all, however I would have to choose science as I love seeing the children’s enthusiasm for learning when they discover fascinating things during exciting experiments. My favourite book to read with my class is The Twits by Roald Dahl because the characters are so gruesome and always up to mischief!”

About Shirin Ebadi

Shirin Ebadi is an Iranian political activist, lawyer, a former judge and human rights activist and founder of Defenders of Human Rights Center in Iran. On 10 October 2003, Ebadi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her significant and pioneering efforts for democracy and human rights, especially women’s, children’s, and refugee rights. She was the first Iranian and the first Muslim woman to receive the prize, and thousands greeted her at the airport when she returned from Paris after receiving the news that she had won the prize.
