Pupils Home Learning - Google Classroom

Daily lessons for children remaining at home are available via their Google Classroom page.

Please ensure your child logs on daily to complete the work that has been set. You can then upload your work for the teacher to mark and feedback.

We will continue to hold a virtual Celebration assembly every Friday, which will also be uploaded onto the Google Classroom.

Look out for special school challenges that will be set through the weeks.

If you are having trouble logging in to Google Classroom, please contact the main office and they will be able to reset your password: morehalloffice@turnerschools.com

If you are having trouble accessing the work with your child, please contact your child's class teacher directly on the Google Classroom.

Here are two user guides to help you log-in to Google Classroom, and submit your child's work:

Teaching Assistants will be available on Google Classrooms throughout the morning and teachers will be available in the afternoon, to mark work, feedback to children and answer any queries that have been made.

You will receive a weekly call from a staff member to check in with you and answer any queries you might have.

If you have any worries, please do not hesitate to contact us at school.

Coronavirus Update: FAQ for Parent & Carers

What measurements have been put in place, to ensure the safety of my child?

TURNER SCHOOLS REOPENING PROTOCOLS FOR PARENTS

All children will be entering via the main school gate, with a one way system and 2m distance markings in place. In order to minimise the number of people coming to the school at any time, we are operating staggered start and finish times for each group of pupils. These are as follows:

Year R: 8.50am-2.55pm

Year 1: 8.40am-2.45pm

Year 2: 8.30am-3.15pm

Year 3: 9.00am-3.05pm

Year 4: 8.50am-2.55pm

Year 5: 8.40am-2.45pm

Year 6: 8.30am-3.15pm

New measures have been put in place, to ensure the school is as safe as possible. Children are only to be escorted by ONE parent/carer down the right hand slope from the main gate and pupils will queue along the 2m markings whilst they wait to wash their hands in the outdoor sink, before entering the building.

If anyone in a year group shows any symptoms, we have access to testing and where positive, the whole group will be asked to self-isolate for 10 days.

Groups of children will be kept apart at break and lunchtimes and toilet facilities will also be monitored to ensure that there is no overcrowding. We are also minimising the use of shared resources to lower the risk of infection.

Finally, we have a thorough cleaning and hygiene regime in place and we have contracted external suppliers to carry out a risk assessment to ensure the buildings are safe for occupancy.
