Community

We are very proud of the history of our Edwardian school building, which first opened as a school in 1908, and has been an important part of the community ever since.

It is our aim to nurture all children who attend our school so that they reach their full potential and realise the important role they play as citizens in their community and as citizens of modern Britain.

Here are just a few of the projects and initiatives Morehall Primary take part in:

  • Morehall Choir - We sing at events and locations around the local area all year round: Tesco Carol Singing, local Retirement Homes, Christmas Markets, O2 Young Voices Concerts.

  • Local arts events: Cheriton Light Festival, Charivari Festival, Folkestone Triennial, Strange Cargo art Workshops.

  • Visits to Folkestone Town Hall to meet with the Mayor

  • Workshops and visits from local emergency services

  • Workshops and projects with local radio station Academy FM

  • Careers projects with local employers

  • Fundraising for local charities e.g. Rainbow Centre

  • Generation link project - integrating primary school children with residents of local retirement homes through music and singing
